The Ultimate Sneaker Sizing Guide: From Jordan Classics to Luxury Icons

Mar 03, 2026 1 0

One of the biggest hurdles when upgrading your rotation with high-quality 1:1 reps is the fear of a bad fit. Because hksneaker only sources top-tier batches that use the exact same lasts (the molds) as the originals, our sizing is remarkably consistent with retail standards.

However, between thick padding and different silhouettes, "True to Size" can feel different from shoe to shoe. Here is our 2026 breakdown to ensure you get the perfect fit every time.

The Air Jordan Collection: 1, 4, and 5

Jordan Brand sizing is generally consistent, but the internal padding varies significantly between models:

  • Air Jordan 1: Generally, these are True to Size (TTS). For a high-heat grail like the Jordan 1 Retro Low OG SP Fragment x Travis Scott Sail Military Blue DM7866-104, the fit is streamlined and secure. If you prefer a loose, unlaced look common in the streetwear community, stick to your standard US size. Check out our full Air Jordan 1 Low collection for more colorways.

  • Air Jordan 4: The AJ4 is famous for its snug fit around the pinky toe. For the iconic Jordan 4 Retro White Cement (2025) FV5029-100, we recommend going True to Size if you like a locked-in feel, or half a size up if you have wider feet. Our 2025 batch perfectly replicates the updated shape for maximum comfort. Explore our entire Air Jordan 4 collection here.

  • Air Jordan 5: With its plush ankle collar, the AJ5 offers a premium, cushioned feel. For the recently returned Jordan 5 Retro Wolf Grey (2026) DD0587-002, we suggest staying True to Size. The internal volume in our OG Batch matches the retail version to the millimeter. Browse our Air Jordan 5 collection to see more.

Nike Everyday Staples: Air Force 1 & Dunks

  • Air Force 1: These are notorious for running large. To avoid heel slippage, we recommend going half a size down from your standard sneaker size when browsing our Nike Air Force 1 Low collection.

  • Nike Dunk: A classic flat-sole fit. Most Dunks in our Nike Dunk collection fit True to Size. However, if you are looking at SB (Skateboard) versions with the fat tongue, you might consider half a size up for a roomier feel.

Luxury Fashion: Balenciaga & Dior

Luxury sneakers often use European (EU) sizing, which can be tricky for US customers:

  • Balenciaga: Models like the Triple S and Track are designed to be "oversized." If you are between sizes in our Balenciaga sneaker collection, we usually suggest sizing down, as the silhouette itself provides plenty of internal space.

  • Dior: The Dior collection usually fits True to Size. However, since materials like the technical canvas on the B23 have very little stretch, those with wide feet often find comfort by going one size up.

Pro Tip: When in Doubt, Measure in CM

If you want to be 100% certain, the most reliable method is measuring your foot length in centimeters (CM). You can find our detailed conversion chart on every product page to compare your CM length against US and EU sizes.
